  • Miss Sam

    SINGING TEACHER

    To quote Abba, Sam ‘began to sing long before she could talk!’. Sam holds a Diploma of Musical Theatre, having trained full time at Brent Street, as well as her Grade 6 AMEB singing qualifications. An avid performer, Sam has played the following musical theatre roles: Glinda in Wicked (2018) , Sophie in Mamma Mia (2022), Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2023), Liz in Chicago (2022), and Grace Farrell in Annie (2015). She also performed in Blue Mountains Musical Societies 2.0 online performance (2020) , CMS A Night on Broadway (2020) and has also featured in Whistle Down The Wind (2019), The Wizard of Oz (2013), Oliver (2011), Our Town(2012) and Stories in the Dark(2014). Sam says the best thing about being a teacher is getting to see how a student progresses and flourishes in their talents and their confidence in performing!

  • Miss Taleisha

    PIANO TEACHER

    Having begun her Piano training at 6 years of age, Taleisha has over a decade of Piano playing under her belt. With performance experience at various concerts, churches and school events, and having completed AMEB Piano exams and her HSC Music exams under the guidance of Alina Wakeling (Alina W Music Director), Taleisha’s love of Piano saw her join the Alina W Music teaching family in 2021 as a Piano Teacher. Taleisha loves working with her students, particularly the younger students, and loves seeing her own love of music shine through in her teaching work.

  • Mr Nathan

    GUITAR TEACHER

    Currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Music Practice) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Nathan has been teaching Guitar since 2020! Having played Guitar for over a decade, Nathan has performed at band camps, talent shows and concerts, and even received an ‘Encore’ nomination for his HSC Music Performance. Having joined the Alina W Music team in mid-2022, Nathan’s favourite thing about being a Guitar teacher is watching his students develop a deeper relationship and passion with music!

  • Miss Jess

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Composition) at the Sydney Conservatorium, and having completed both her Grade 8 AMEB AMEB Piano, and Grade 6 AMEB Singing, Jess is both a Piano & Voice teacher here at Alina W Music. Prior to working with Alina W Music, Jessica was also a mentor for the Penrith City Children’s Choir, and regularly conducts and teaches choirs and vocal ensembles in various contexts. She has also performed in several musicals, including Footloose (2018), Wicked (2021) and Anastasia (2022). In addition to her Piano and Singing capabilities, she was also previously a member of the Blue Mountains Youth Band, on clarinet and alto saxophone. Jessica believes music tuition should be fun, and loves to bring an element of positivity into her lessons.

  • Miss Evelyn

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Having trained extensively in both Contemporary and Classical Voice, Evelyn developed a love for Singing and Songwriting. Under the guidance of industry experts, Evelyn has developed her Songwriting skills, and went on to complete Songwriting Coursework through the Sydney Conservatorium. Evelyn also worked alongside X Factor stars, Jess & Matt, in writing, recording, and performing an original song. She also completed further Songwriting Coursework with Pop-star Charlie Puth! As well as being an avid Songwriter, Evelyn has had extensive vocal training, currently working with Dallas Watts, and completed here Piano training at Alina W Music. Evelyn was awarded 2nd in the State for HSC Music 1, and her high marks saw her selected for ‘Encore’ where she performed one of her HSC piece at the Opera House.

  • Mr Caleb

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Having completed his Grade 6 AMEB qualifications, and having received a Band 6 in his HSC Music exams, Caleb is currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Musical Theatre) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. A local performer, Caleb was selected as a School Spectacular Solo Artist and Backing Vocalist, as well as cast as ‘Sky’ in Mamma Mia with Blue Mountains Musical Society in 2022 and Les Miserables with Packemin Productions in 2023. Caleb enjoys watching his students progress, and loves being part of their learning journey. He currently teaches Piano and Voice, and gigs around the Greater Sydney area.

  • Miss Brooke

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    If you LOVE musical theatre, Brooke is the singing teacher for you! Having completed both her Piano Tuition and her advanced vocal tuition at Alina W Music, Brooke holds her Grade 6 AMEB Singing qualifications. She is also a graduate of our Senior Singing Enrichment Program. Beginning dance training at an early age, Brooke combined her love for singing and dancing, and this saw her go on to perform in Grease the Arena Experience, Seusiccal, Big! The Musical, Olivier and Popstars the Musical. Outside of her performance experience, Brooke also has Musical Theatre Production Team experience, having worked as a Director and Stage Manager for Fantasia Showstoppers, a local community theatre group for children in Western Sydney. A true creative at heart, Brooke is undertaking a Bachelor of Film Production and Post Production at the SAE Creative Media Institute. Currently working as a Music tutor, Brooke says that seeing students have fun while they are singing fills her with so much joy.

  • Miss Bernadette

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Having completed 13 years of Piano training and 5 years of Vocal Lessons, Bernadette holds her Grade 6 AMEB qualifications and has been teaching both Piano and Singing for four years. Externally, she has performed in various musicals, including ‘Mamma Mia’ (2022), ‘Strictly Ballroom’ (2023), and ‘Gypsy’ (2019) with Blue Mountains Musical Society. With almost 15 years of dance training under her belt, she has also performed in various dance concerts and competitions too, so Bernie is no stranger to the stage! Bernadette says the most fulfilling part of being a music teacher is witnessing students develop as learners and gain confidence in their abilities as a performer. Outside of work, she is also currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Western Sydney University

  • Mr Ben

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Ben’s exposure to music at a young age served as the catalyst for his passion in music. Currently studying a Bachelor of Music at Western Sydney University, Ben has been playing the Piano since he was in Year 3! Having done many solo and band performances since then, Ben also finds the time to perform with local theatre companies, with his most recent role being in Mamma Mia with Blue Mountains Musical Society in October / November 2022. Ben also regularly helps backstage in the Musical Theatre world too, so offers a varied skillset. Ben loves watching his students develop a joy for singing & piano playing, as it reminds him of his own love of music.

  • Miss Aurelia

    PIANO TEACHER

    An Alina W Music student herself, Aurelia has been playing the Piano for almost a decade! Having completed her Grade 6 AMEB Piano exam, Aurelia joined our teaching team in mid-2022! Having performed at various music concerts both at school and externally, Aurelia enjoys sharing her love for music with her students, and is passionate about laying strong musical foundations for the younger beginners she tutors.

  • Mr Rowan

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Having performed in several musicals including Les Miserables (2023), Mamma Mia (2022), Footloose (2018), Chicago (2022), and Les Miserables (2023), Rowan developed and discovered his passion for singing at 14. Along with private piano and singing lessons, Rowan has further strengthened in vocal skills through masterclasses and vocal ensemble workshops. Through his thorough training and technique development, Rowan has built extensive performance experience, shown in his lead and ensemble role success. He has performed in countless musical nights around Sydney, including the Sydney Eisteddfod, Sydney Town Hall and Opera House. Rowan loves working with his students, helping them develop musical talent, creativity and skill.

  • Miss Tania

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Having achieved her AMEB Grade 6, Tania is both a Piano and Vocal Teacher at Alina W Music. Previously an Alina W Music student herself, she was part of our Senior Singing Enrichment Program, and performed extensively and regularly at local community events, such as St Marys Festival and St Clair Festival. Currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology, Tania’s hunger for knowledge and learning extends outside her musical abilities, and she encourages this same love of learning in her music classes.

  • Miss Audrey

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    An Alina W Music student herself, Audrey has a decade of music experience behind her. With training in both Piano & Voice, having learnt with Alina, Audrey is currently preparing to sit her Grade 7 AMEB Singing exam! With training in jazz, pop and classical styles of music, Audrey offers flexibility and diversity in terms of the repertoire she teaches! In particular, she loves working with our youngest students, and enjoys seeing them fall in love with music for the first time!

  • Miss Lily

    PIANO, GUITAR & SINGING TEACHER

    Having achieved her AMEB Grade 6, Lily is both a Piano and Vocal Teacher at Alina W Music. Although Lily’s first discipline is Voice, her love of music saw her extended her studies to include Piano and Guitar, and now also teaches Beginner Piano & Guitar at Alina W Music too. Previously an Alina W Music student herself, she was part of our Senior Singing Enrichment Program, and performed extensively and regularly at local community events and concerts. Lily loves both performance and song writing, and is excited to share her love of music with her students.

  • Mr Dom

    GUITAR TEACHER

    With experience in both Piano & Guitar, and with over a decade of training behind him, Dom is one of our Guitar teachers here at Alina W Music working specifically with beginner level students. Having worked through both AMEB coursework as well as contemporary repertoire, Dom offers flexibility to the students he teaches. He knows that each individual student will have their own interests and learning styles, and he is able to cater to that as a result of his own varied training. He enjoys seeing his students develop a love for music, and he himself has performed in various concert and church contexts around Greater Sydney.

  • Mr Ben M

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Music has been Mr. Ben's lifelong passion, fostered by a family deeply rooted in musical tradition. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at Western Sydney University, he is set to complete his studies this year. With a dedicated focus on music performance and songwriting over the past 9 years, Ben has honed his skills to a high level.

    He has composed numerous songs, culminating in his first complete body of work finished last year, a project he eagerly anticipates releasing in the future. Alongside his practical music talents, Ben has excelled in music theory and composition, consistently earning high distinctions in his studies.

    Beyond his studies, Ben has shared his expertise by conducting workshops and classes for the Three Sisters Youth Theatre in the Blue Mountains, further enriching his connection to the local arts community.

  • Mr Lewis

    PIANO & SINGING TEACHER

    Lewis is a dedicated musician and graduate of Western Sydney University, where he earned his Bachelor of Music in 2021. His passion for musical theatre has been a driving force throughout his career. He has showcased his versatility in numerous productions, portraying a wide range of characters including Hardy in "Red Riding Hood," Ritchie in "13," Ren in "Footloose," Rolfe in “The Sound of Music”, and Joe Pesci in "Jersey Boys," among others. His love of music also saw him travel to America, where he worked at Walt Disney World! In addition to his theatrical accomplishments, Lewis is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in piano, guitar, and ukulele. His vocal abilities complement his instrumental skills, and he has successfully composed original music, both independently and as part of a band. Actively involved in his musical journey, Lewis has recorded and produced several original pieces along with covers of popular songs.

  • Mr Gabriel

    GUITAR TEACHER

    Gabriel has immersed himself in music for over 13 years, mastering a diverse array of styles including rock, funk, acoustic, and classical. His journey includes composing original music, blending rock, funk, and jazz into unique fusion pieces, and recently branching into acoustic and classical compositions. Looking to enhance his skills and career, Mr. Gabriel is embarking on studies at the Grove Studios for Musical Production and Sound Engineering as of 2025! Gabriel has experience teaching Guitar, and is excited to use that skillset at Alina W Music!

  • Miss Liv

    SINGING TEACHER

    An Alina W Music student herself, Liv knows what it is like to learn and develop her skillset at Alina W Music. With training in voice, under the tutelage of Alina, Liv has completed her Grade 7 AMEB Singing. With training in jazz, pop and musical theatre, and with experience performing at concerts and community events around the Greater Penrith area, Liv loves working with young singers and loves seeing there confidence develop through their tuition.
